The Space
To complement the inclusion of Maya Deren’s Meshes of the Afternoon
(1943-59) in Klaus Weber’s Already there!, Deren expert Elinor Cleghorn will
introduce a selection of her short Surrealist films. Cleghorn has programmed
the BFI’s commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Deren’s death.
Nottingham Contemporary’s public programme is jointly funded by Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
